Something a bit different
At Proper Tasty, we keep things fresh, both in our ingredients and our ideas. Roughly once per month we create a limited-edition special sandwich using locally sourced Yorkshire produce, crafted in our Northallerton kitchen. These monthly specials let us experiment with new flavours and give our customers something different to enjoy.
If you run a café, shop, or catering business, our specials add variety to your menu and keep things exciting. Existing customers get early access, but if you’re new, just get in touch – we’ll be happy to drop off a sample.

The Italian Job
The Italian Job is loaded with Italian Milano Salami, renowned as one of Italy’s most celebrated meats. Originating from Milan, the capital of Lombardy, this salami holds a significant place in the region’s rich culinary heritage.

Wensleydale With Apple & Cider Chutney Artisan Sandwich
Our Wensleydale with Apple & Cider Chutney Artisan Sandwich is a premium speciality sliced sandwich using the very finest locally sourced ingredients.
The Wensleydale cheese is a true “Yorkshire” cheese from the Wensleydale Creamery, situated in the market town of Hawes in the heart of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park. Wensleydale cheese can be made anywhere. Only “Yorkshire Wensleydale” is made in Wensleydale.
Handcrafted by master cheese-makers to a time-honoured recipe using milk from local farms it is creamy, crumbly & full of flavour.
This is paired with a delightful “Yorkshire Caramelised Apple & Yorkshire Cider Chutney” from Award winning family run Bracken Hill Fine Foods based in Elvington, York. They have won numerous accolades and awards for their preserves and chutneys dating back to 2004.
They grow their own old variety of fruits which are so much better than the more modern varieties. The apples are slow cooked and caramelised with cider from their orchard.
This combination of true Yorkshire ingredients results in a real “Proper Tasty” Artisan sandwich which is sure to tickle your tastebuds.
