How it all started
It all started with the opening of a Gourmet Sandwich Bar in January 2012 in the North Yorkshire market town of Northallerton. Many of our customers commented “that was Proper Tasty” when they had a sandwich hence the trading name “Proper Tasty” was born.
Not long after opening such was the success of our sandwiches that we re-located to larger premises to scale up the production to meet demand.

We are a local award-winning artisan sandwich producer, our range of sandwiches are filled with locally sourced ingredients. This ensures we have a unique offering with many regional fillings which elevates the quality of our product and keeps more revenue in the local economy.
With our great tasting locally produced “food to go” products this enhances potential sales and encourages regular customers.
We care about the environment, and we are working towards a fully eco range of packaging for our products. Our sandwich wedges are packaged in a natural Kraft card with a plant-based film.
